Hey guys just thought I would show you the bucket on my l185 I just bought this tractor a month or so ago the previous owner wrapped a chain around the bucket and as you can see in the pics really bent it so I straitened it welded 3" channel on top with some bracing and then I welded on 3 2" receivers that I am making some different adapters for so I can use hooks or tow balls or what ever I can think up I am making a headache board for it now for when the snow comes.I hope you like the pics aren't great I will add stuff as I mack it.
Keith.

... questions on getting the bend out of the bucket...?
did you have to heat it up with a torch?
or did you start welding the channel at the non-bent or the bent end and use the channel and some "pressure" like a jack or BFH...?
do you clamp it down a few inches at a time and pull it together....

my bucket is bowed OUT... not so bad as it gives me more "volume" to the bucket, but i'd like to get her straight and put some support across the top.

Thanks for any suggestions

WinnieCouple,What I did was clamped the channel on with a 2" block on each end and then started pulling the bend up with c clamps and a lot of heat from a torch the reason for the blocks is to pull it past center and let it cool then when you tack of the clamps it will want to spring back almost strait the I took out the blocks clamped on the c channel and welded it slow moving around and letting welds cool in between so as not to warp it I hope this helps.

Thanks aquaforce I have started to make some attachments for it that's why I put on 3 receivers and I know it would probably be easier to put on a quick change plate but I have never been known for doing things the easy way.

Well sir I can tell you one thing. That's a nice job you've done there. What a great improvement you've made. No fault can be found with that my friend. Tip my lid to you.

If someone do find some kind of a fault with it just tell them that Wildfire said it is
and here's what to do :D

Your very welcome but there's a difference between us and that is my neighbors don't love me. If I had to rely on them to make a living I'd starve to death lol.

We do however have a great client list including government and with the variety of specialized work we do we make a good go of it ;)

This January we will be starting our 17th year in business and none of us lost a day due to illness. Look forward to seeing your shop.

Wow Keith. Great looking place sir. No problem to put in a good days work there. Love the little guy in the last photo. Rotary lifts are my favorite as well. I'll try and post a few pics of my place this week. I need a bigger place. I've added to many tools and never added to the building . Thanks for sharing. Paul
