1120D starts then dies.

So my 1120d has 720 hours on it and for some reason it starts and runs for about 10 seconds and dies. After a couple times it will start again and run rough . My fluids are fine , my fuel filter was just changed. I ran additive through it before the temperature dropped. Should I be emptying my tank to check for anything clogged, or would this be fuel pump related. The fuel is far from gelled. Thanks

I don’t have your answer but you may have better luck with a more descriptive title, you can edit your post. :)

Check to ensure you have good fuel flow at the filter then bleed the air out of the fuel lines. Your problem sounds fuel related.

Sounds fuel related to me also, might be a weak lift pump or the injection pump has issues. Or air being sucked in from a fuel line connection

It’s true that if you changed your subject title that someone with similar experience might visit this thread when they see something such as. “Runs 10 Seconds then shuts down?”

I would check the FLOW from the tank to the filter.. just pull a line off & let it run into a clean bucket.. let it run for a few minutes..1-2 should be fine..
Watch it.. is it a trickle or a stream..
Once u figure out of the tank outlet is clogged or the supply pump is weak..Hook it back up & Pull the line off the other side of the filter & watch the stream.. Naturally its going to be "a little" slower.. but not by much..
Those small filters are known to collect debris in the elbows..

I second checking the flow from the tank. Replace ALL rubber fuel hoses. They can leak air into the system.

Possibly there is water in the fuel. On my BX22, I believe that the fuel take off is on the bottom of the tank, and if I get any water in the system, it will act just like yours. I learned early on that you don't ever empty the portable fuel container into the tractor tank, for fear that the fuel that you just purchased might have water in it. I pour the balance of the fuel that is in my portable tank into a clear plastic jug and let it settle out, and then use it or if it is contaminated, I dump it onto a brush pile for ignition help. I also use Service Power year round with every fill up. It offers inexpensive insurance to prevent fuel problems.

1120D has a very small hole going from the tank to the line. It is quite possible you have some debris in the tank blocking the hole to the fuel line. I would drain it, look in there with a flashlight and see if there is anything in there. This just happened to a friend of mine and it was the little silver seal from an additive bottle shutting his machine down periodically, it drove him crazy.

If I had this problem, I would disconnect the fuel line before it enters the filter, and blow air through the hose back into the tank to clear the obstacle. Then use the tractor until the fuel gauges shows very close to empty, and then drain the tank and look for the problem. No sense trying to drain 5 gallons, when you can productively use the tractor to use up the fuel.

RTVs or notorious for having to be started several times when the lift pump gets weak / fail. Remove the supply hose from the lift pump and lower it down while watching the fuel flow. If the flow remains steady 20 - 30 seconds, replace your lift pump. It's letting the fuel run back down out of the pump into the tank.

I’m going to tackle this today . Hopefully I can come to a resolution.

I had a similar problem with my 2017 X900 with 300 hrs.
It would start and stall. I removed the tank and cleaned it, (there is youtube video on how to do it), I would post the link but I am not a computer guy.
I noticed that the clamps on the lines from the tank to fuel pump were those crappy compression type they use and they were loose enough to twist by hand. I replaced all 4 of them and it solved the problem.
I think air was getting into the system because of those cheap clamps on fuel hoses.
