Born in Germany. Went back in the early 60's and stayed until '69. Toured nearly every major western European country, Germany (a quick tour to East Berlin in '68), Italy, Greece, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, France, England. Later, in the Air Force I spent time in Turkey, England, Kwajelein Island, Midway Island and Honduras. Then, I drove the "bus" all over the USA for 25 years. In '85 I traveled through Japan to Korea to visit my wife who was there for a year. She left with a six month old at home (with me.)
Today, my wife travels with a lady travel buddy because I am done traveling. To me, a good day is when I only leave my property to walk the dogs. We have a trip coming up to Georgia to teach my daughter how to do wiring and drywall in her new (old) house. I am not looking forward to driving to the airport.
Thanks to the Internet, I stay in touch with many folks around the world, some of which are on this site. The 'Net has truly brought this world closer together.
