I have a BX2350 that is leaking a fair amount of hydraulic fluid under the battery. I have seen from other post that is most likely a Kubota defect and the o rings are bad. It appears that the leak is coming from 2 black bolts within the middle of all the hydraulic lines. Does this sound right and if so, how in the world do you get to those bolts since all the lines cover up access to them? Any help/suggestions would be great. Thanks.

A Kubota defect?
Leaking from which black bolts?
No, this does not sound right.

I’ve seen on several different forums that Kabota had a manufacturing defect where the seat for the o rings were not ground properly causing the o rings to fail. I will try and get a better picture tonight of the bolts but they are in the middle of the rigid hydraulic lines located under the battery.

I am guessing from your picture that you are referring to the load check plugs. There are two of them and they have an o-ring on each plug. Check to see that they are tight. If they are and are leaking, unscrew, replace the o-ring and screw back in.

I service over 100 BX tractors a year and have never found a leak there. I did a search in Kubota service and turned up nothing about leaks on the valve. If the valve was miss made there would be leaks on a good share of them and many would have leaked when new.

nlw898s, how many hours do you have on the BX2350? I'm with whitetiger, the plugs are loose and/or the O-rings have failed for some reason.

Where in Missouri are you located?

Your tractor is what 10 -12 yrs old. Not sure how many hrs are on it. However o-rings will start to leak due to them getting a bit brittle and set or flattened squashed over the yrs. I'll bet if you change them your leak will stop.O rings are a good thing but over time they will and do seep and start leaking.

Thanks for the response. It looks very difficult to get to those bolts, do you have any recommendations on how to get to them to tighten and/or replace the o rings?

Tinkerwitheverything, it is probably pushing 12 years old and just over 700 hrs

Mdhughes, about an hour north of Springfield.
