Quick Attach question

Quick question on the quick attach hitch. . The dealer put the quick attach on and the upper link arm is in the top hole. If im using a ground engaging attachment the manual says use the lower hole on the top link. Do I need to move the top link or since its a quick attach does it matter? thanks!

Move it for the best fit on your attachment, if your talking about the hook at the top of the attachment.

If your talking about the actual top link on the tractor then install it in the hole you desire and adjust it to fit correctly.

Not a mechanic, just using info from past experience. Hopefully others will give you a response.

Redlands described exactly what I do and I have the same tractor as you. Has worked perfectly for almost five years now.

Yes I was talking about the top link not the hook on the QA. Thanks for your reply! My grading scraper has been working good but just wanted to double check to make sure. I haven't noticed any issues with it on the top hole.

For perfectly vertical travel, the distance from the 3ph arms connections to the centerline of the top link at the tractor should be equal to the distance from the lower pins on the implement to the centerline of the top link connection on the implement. When the distance between the two is shorter at the tractor than at the implement, the rear of the implement will traverse an upwards arc (ie: back will rise higher than the front). If the distance is shorter at the implement, then the arc is inverted and the front of the implement will rise higher than the rear.
