Kubota L3800 HST blowing raw fuel from exhaust

Hi, everyone. New here, I have a L3800 HST, was out bush hogging a couple weeks ago and it just started doing that fuel load up rattle and blowing white smoke, just out of the blue. If it***8217;s idled down it doesn***8217;t smoke unless you push forward or reverse on HST pedal, half throttle it will load up, smells like raw gas pouring into exhaust. I bought it new, can***8217;t remember exactly but I think it***8217;s a 2015, very low hours. I am pretty mechanically inclined, been mechanical maintenance for many years, past 5 yrs went into electrical maintenance. I just need some advice of what is most likely the culprit, tear my Jeep down all the time, haven***8217;t had to work on my tractor yet. Want to look at it myself before I take it to the dealer. Help please and thank you in advance!!

If your 100% use you didn't put gasoline in the fuel, then your next bet is to pull the injectors and have them tested. ;)

100%, no gasoline. I have the tools, just what am I looking for when I test these injectors? It has always ran great, then this, with very low hrs? It starts fine, and idles fine, just can’t give it any throttle or it will start loading up.

You can't test them you need a shop with a injector test bench to test them.

What Wolfman is saying, is they can be tested, but you need a special testing unit that a diesel injection shop would have. The tester has a place to put one injector on it. It has a small reservoir of diesel, a hand pump and pressure gauge. They pump the fuel and measure what pressure the injector opens and sprays. Each injector has a certain pressure it is supposed to open at. Also, they can check the spray pattern to make sure it is correct. If either item is wrong, the injector can be rebuilt.

You may want to check your fuel line from the tank to the injection pump. Be sure you have clean fuel (you did mention GAS) and no algae growth in the tank. Open the line before the fuel filter to check flow but also for crud. Replace the fuel filter. Just make sure you have good, clean fuel flow with no water or gas in it, then remove injectors and take to a diesel repair shop for testing.

You know, you bring up a good point. This all started the second day of bush hogging, I filled it up that morning, it ran a good while before it started that though. May have water in the fuel.

Water and your issues not very likely, gasoline and your issues very likely! ;)

100%, no gasoline.
Seriously, just because you pumped it out of a diesel pump doesn't mean someone didn't contaminate it with gasoline down the line. Drain it and try it from a different source.
