I have a BX with the standard 43" FEL bucket, but need one that is more narrow like 32".

Any thoughts on how to do this or alternatives? I am thinking about getting a stamdard bucket and having it modified or starting with a SSQA mount.

I am using the FEL to fill a smaller top dresser and the 43" bucket spills a considerable amount on each side of it.

Yea you won't get a 32" bucket Stock with an SSQA mount, as the mount would be wider than the bucket.

I would do like Chim suggested and build a funnel attachment for the bucket you have.

43-32 = 11, well according to old timer's math...
simply make a 'filler' from a 2by12 and cover the ends with 1/4" plywood. Now how you attach to your bucket...
you could
1) drill holes (sniff,snif) or
2) maybe some long clamps or
3) say a rachet strap, wrapped 2 times and snugged up.

I'd try #3 first...
If you get the angles right the first time, it'd only take one 2by12 maybe a 10 footer ?

I made up this bucket as kind of a poor-man's backhoe, for digging up roots and making short trenches. Also handy for pouring concrete into sono tubes. Maybe you could fab up something similar?
