I know how she feels.
I'm a mosquito magnet too if I'm outside at dusk there is a good chance I'll need a blood transfusion by the time I make it back to the house.
No ticks for me but skeeters for sure. I must smell good to them or something. I carry a bottle of Deet in my pocket all the time.
Never had ticks here until 2 years ago, now they are everywhere and why I keep the grass short. Long grass here equals tick city.

I'm chigger (AKA red bug) magnet.
Starting using 36.8 % Permethrin SFR 32, not the 10% stuff. SFR 32 is something that's supposed to keep critters from getting immuned to it.
1-2/3oz. in a gallon of water. I spray it on my pants from the knee down and on my boots, let dry, no more problems. Some people actually soak their clothes in it, let dry, good to go. Treatment lasts about 5-6 washings. The washing isn't the problem, it's the tumbling in a dryer that moves the molecules and lets them drop off. This product is not to be used as a spray on exposed skin.
