I have a B6000 with a Kubota 619B backhoe. The shaft on the PTO hydraulic pump has broken where the pin goes through. I haven’t been able to find a replacement. Any suggestions?
As a start, you need to correct the backhoe model number according to what Google says. B619 not 619BI have a B6000 with a Kubota 619B backhoe. The shaft on the PTO hydraulic pump has broken where the pin goes through. I haven’t been able to find a replacement. Any suggestions?
I understand the B6000 PTO turns “backward”. Can you suggest a pump model & adapter configuration that would work?Buy a new pump. Prince Hydraulics has them., if you cannot get the parts.
The B6000engine doesn't turn the "wrong way". The B6000 pto shaft doesn't have the final reduction at the rear of the tractor like the other "B's" do. thus the shaft rotation doesn't get reversed by an additional set of spur gears. I don't know if the parts to change it can be retrofitted onto the back of the B6000 but I really doubt it!As a start, you need to correct the backhoe model number according to what Google says. From another forum:
Hi, super late response but I've got a B6000E with a FEL and Backhoe. I built a bracket and fastened a hydraulic pump to the PTO. Hub City sells an adapter that will bring the 10 spline shaft the standard six spline, I then used a quick coupler with 6 spline that slides over the adapter and the other end is a 1/2 keyed slot which the pump fits into. Bolted to my bracket and mounted to the bottom bracket of the three point. I have a tank on my backhoe. Digs super strong, I can go down almost 6 feet and I can lift 1500 pounds easy. I built a frame mount which ties into the loader frame just like the factory hoe did. By the way the factory hoe is a model B619, I copied the plans when building my frame mount. The tractor pump puts out about 1200 PSI, I am running around 3000 on my hoe, tractor pump is about 2.5 GPM, I am running 4.5gpm on hoe. My loader has a remote pump run by belt off the crank. These tractor's pumps are not really designed for anything other than THree point. Although I am aware some of the manuals will have you splice into the top of the hydraulic lift cylinder for pressure, I think the pump is just not up to the task.
Hope this helps others in the future.
More info in helping you select a pump.:
The reason it is all backwards is that the engine rotates the wrong way. If you look at it compared to the B6100 you will notice the exhaust is on the left as opposed to it being on the right on a B6000.
That said I was told the gears could be fiddled to get it to rotate right.
On ebay it is not uncommon to see bidirectional pumps, you just change something to make it do the other way, that would work for you. you could always belt drive one off the front PTO (crankshaft).
Hope this helps. Others may know more

That's news to me, I have always thought motor spins the opposite direction than all the other Kubota engines. The B6000engine doesn't turn the "wrong way". Do you have a WSM for the B6000? In it you can easily see that the PTO comes straight out instead of using the final reduction where the PTO is higher on the rear like other B tractors. I don't own a B6000 but there is one across the street from me and clearly the Engine turns the conventional direction! That's news to me, I have always thought motor spins the opposite direction than all the other Kubota engines.
Don't matter with the Prince pump, you just put it on the opposite way. Most all pto hydraulic pumps come with a splined through shaft so they will mount either way. You might have to install a 6 spline shaft increaser to get the clearance, Those are available online or at Tractor supply for about 20 bucks.I understand the B6000 PTO turns ***8220;backward***8221;. Can you suggest a pump model & adapter configuration that would work?
We all make mistakes....lol Like I stated with a replacement pump, pto rotation isn't a factor, just flip the pump around. I think some pumps will pressurize in either direction but I know the Prince pump has a specfic rotation direction, it's stamped on the pump body.I have been following misinformation that the motor spins counter clockwise.
The intake and the exhaust are on opposite sides of the tractor than all other Kubota engines of that era, so it always seemed to make sense that it would be the case, never questioned it.
