Looking at B5200DT, serial number 51431. Can you tell from that if this tractor is a Grey Market one. Concerned about being able to obtain, and install a ROPS. Kubota website said B5200 imported 1983, and later, are not Grey Market. How would I confirm date of import? Thanks for any information you can provide.

It looks like it would be a 1986 based on this chart,
and Messicks lists a B5200D, so parts should not be a problem.

It is a B5100DT with serial number B5001-51431. Labels in English and French.
Engine: Z500-1A.

Bill,. I pulled the "B5100" off the plate, and the serial number off the chassis. This is what has me more confused than usual.

There was a fluke that a lot of B5100,B6100,B7100, had serial number plates that say B5001,B6001,B7001, they are not alway greys.
I have 2 different B7100 HST's both new versions, one has B7001-XXXXX and the other has B7100-XXXXX but they are both Not Grey units.
Do yourself a favor when you order the ROPS and they ask for the serial Number say B5100-51431 to the parts guy, because they too will think if it starts with the B5001...it's automatically a grey, some aren't the brightest light bulbs in the box.
It's not a grey, proof is off of Kubota's site, if it was a grey the serial# would not match up!

If you have a labels in English and French then you are good. It is the labels in Japanese that should evoke caution.
