Well I was about to turn in my man card this afternoon. Its cool and blue skys so I go out and I want and need to do so much,, well OK I know I ll back drag the driveway, Doc said dont do nuttin stupid,, how can sitting on the little orange beast be bad. SO I drag things around,, should have put the back blade on but at least I got the big holes filled.
Now years ago I cut up a big old white pine tree and stacked it for fires with the kids, but since they are growing no fires for some time, and the wood was starting to pretty much rot. I got the blade on so I start pushing them into the burn pile. The all at once the blade will not move up or down,,HUMMM WTH now?
WTH is going on lines on lines off nada and I am scratching my head, wondering why nothing will move.

Wellllll I looked down and what to my wondering eyes should I see, but my folding buck saw wedged on the fender holding the 3pt lever in the middle of the travel.
Said a few naughty words popped it out and low and behold everything works. SO I fixed it and I dont have to turn in my man card.
The thing is this ,check the simple ,stupid things first

A guy that can drive all the way to the PNW averaging 102mph, gets to keep his man card, no matter what (well almost no matter what)! Matter of fact, his man card should be the size of one of those giant sweepstakes checks.

Mine have been in Amy's purse for so long, I've ceased missing them.

Everyone that knows us knows who wears the pants in this family and it ain't me.

Changed the oil in her car yesterday (carefully so as not to aggravate my incision which is healing nicely), poured in a gallon from the gallon jug and went to add an additional quart (takes 5 quarts) and looked down for some reason and observed a spreading puddle of oil on the driveway.

forgot to put the drain plug back in....duh. Put on a new filter at least and tightened that. drain plug sitting on the concrete next to the ratchet and socket....

I have done that before, many years ago. Young and dumb. :D
When I do it now, old and senile! :p
The thing that changes in life is the excuse. :)

I always get a chuckle when I'm breaking in a new guy at work. Bearing housing on my pumps at the shop have Identicle plugs for the drain and fill holes. The only difference is the fill plug has a hole drilled through the side for a vent.

Never fails, the new mechanic gets in a hurry and grabs a plug and installs it in the drain. Starts adding oil and it suddenly starts flowing back out the bottom :D

my wife got home just before dark i was finishing cutting up the base chunks she figured I cut the whole tree down !!!

I told her right away I hired it done , gads she would think I could cut other trees that bad ....
