Hello everyone, First post on this forum. From what I've read, looks like a lot of good advice available here.

I'm going to make the plunge into a quick attach for my LA 504 loader. The part that goes onto my loader seems pretty straightforward. My local dealer told me that there is no such thing as a bolt on/pin on adapter for my bucket. He advises that I can either throw the bucket out (and buy a regular skid steer bucket), sell it, or pay someone to cut off the existing brackets that currently connect the bucket to my loader and weld on a mounting plate.

My bucket has just over 300 hours on it, works great and I'd like to keep it intact (in case I want to sell this tractor and move up to another one).

It seems that someone would make a bracket/plate to retro onto my bucket so that it will work with the quick attach. It already has the heavy duty brackets for the 4-pin loader set up.

Does anyone know where an adapter attachment can be had? Thanks in advance.

Your dealer is 100% correct no one make an adapter bracket to turn a pin mount bucket into an SSQA plate, and you wouldn't want it if they did, it would move the lift point too far out.

If you sell the tractor the SSQA mount would go with it, it wouldn't do you any good to keep just that part???

It's not like it would fit another tractor unless you bought the same exact loader.

Cut the mounts off the bucket and weld an SSQA plate on it!

So I am new here also. I am about to purchase a BX. I came here to get some questions answered. This is a good place for that.

The quick attack/ skid steer setup should increase the value of your unit or at least make it more desirable at time of sale or trade.

I will purchase a tractor already setup with it then convert my other tractor to it. There are a few attachments they can share. As was mentioned the distance everything sticks out even though it’s just a few inches really makes a difference in how much weight you can handle and lift. I found a mount for my other tractor that is made the same as origional equipment (not available) and then I will cut and weld the mounting plate to my bucket.

All or most ll Bobcat style quick attach plates have an industry standard pin spacing. When I bought my M's (a long time ago), Kubota didn't offer the quick attach so I went with ATI and the ATI mount has proven indestructible on both units.

I bought a Kubota QA for mytractor several weeks ago. My bucket is currently at a shop to have the adapter plate welded on. I didn’t want to buy a different bucket, as the resale on my pin on bucket would t be much due to most wanting QA. Much more cost effective to adapt current bucket. As it is, adding the QA adds a few inches of length. Wouldnt want to add even more by adding some sort of pin on bucket adapter.

I got the weld on plate from everything attachments.

I have a B-3000 w/LA 403 FEL. I bought a brand new 66" bucket to replace the 60", the adapter (don't recall the model #) for nearly the same money and didn't need to re-work my old bucket to fit the adapter. I did have to shorten the adapter width wise which was just a matter of cutting a couple inches off the middle of the spreader bar tube and adding a standard pipe coupler. And I sold the old bucket on CL for a couple hundred $'s. It was a no brainer.
