I am trying to find a hydraulic top link for my Gr L6060. The pin is 3/4" and the ball width is 1 3/4" on my tractor. From what I have researched this is a cat 1. Most of the cat 1 hyd cylinders are too short. The cat 2 cylinders are the right length and have a lot more push and pull power but the ball width is 2". (I only have 1 3/4") So how is the spec cat 1/2 for my tractor when the ball on the cat 2 is too wide to fit on the tractor. Its not the pin size. I understand I can get a cat 2 to cat 1 bushing it is the width of the ball. Am I missing something.

I put a Cat II hyd top link on my L3901 - Same deal the Cat I did not have enough stroke or enough power. I used superglue and glued the bushing into the heim joint. I then ground off the excess with a grinder. Works great.

Just built one for my M9540, bought all the parts from the surplus center. I used a 2.5 inch cylinder, and may be a little light for my tractor, but time will tell.

Hey All Dodge, where did you get your cylinder? On line or do you have access to them at the stores in your area?

Got them from the surplus center. They have some ready made's with smaller bore cylinders, but I bought a Cat 2 cylinder which required me to cut the cylinder eye end off and weld on a longer eye for clearance

Bought all the parts individuality, hoses and all fittings

This is the ready made's, note (say top link) they have a longer fitting on the cylinder end, and some have check valves

This is the one I got and modified

I’ll see if I can get you the part number for just the hydraulic top link
