Thought I would share a few photos of my L4701 moving drain rock from a pile on our building lot to the drain field. Drain field is a pressurized system with 8-60 foot trenches. They are 3 ft wide and the drain rock is 9" deep so I have about 40 yards of rock to move up the hill. Enjoy the tractor porn.

Great work.

How long do you think it would have taken you without that Orange thingy? :D

That is pretty country. I have to ask however or should I say.. You have the trenches with perforated pipe in the bottom to collect water correct? Then what do you do? You run that down hill to your domestic supply or is it for utility water (stock and washdown)? I'm curious.

Reason why I ask is, I collect rainwater from my shop eavestroughs in 350 gallon IBC totes (2) that I used for farm equipment washdown. Our well water is so loaded with minerals that you cannot use it for equipment washdown everything turns white from the calcium in the well water.

Rainwater works much better for me at least.

These are drain field trenches. The effluent from our septic tanks will be pumped to these trenches.

I see. Thought it was the opposite. I take it then you live ABOVE the trenches, not BELOW. In any case just be careful on that slope.

Nope, the building will be below the trenches. It is a pressurized system with a pump to move the septic tank effluent up to the drain field.
