This introduced by Dianne Feinstein and others yesterday would include 205 named models with more restrictions than the 1994 ban. It wouldn't take away crime only freedom.

This is defacto gun registration pure and simple. The dumborats know that they cannot get this to pass if they call it what it really is.

Im in Maine too, weve got bigger local problems to worry about with the new gov and leg all run by feinstien wannabes.

BTW i learned that we just ignore federal laws we dont like .....look at all the pot heads running around openly smoking and growing weed without legal trouble...its still federally illegal

Yes we do have trouble here and I din't vote for those ones. Also my U.S. Rep. vote was basically thrown away. If the feds and state vote stuff like this in we'll be sliding down hill toward that line in the sand.

The Constitution is our friend and the high court is slowly leaning back towards conserving it so I wouldnt worry too much.

I just hope that RBG is replaced on the SCOTUS sometime very early this year. If she is not replaced before mid-summer the democrats will surely block any of President Trump's nominations.

I dont think they have the power to block. Repub senate for 2 more years anyway. Doubt RBG will last that long.

Anyway, why the hell is the new legislation moving to take away law abiding citizen gun rights again? Getting pretty sick of it.

If you wanted to take Constitutional rights away which one would you neutralize first ?

I truly hope that you are correct. However, I fear that there are some RINOs that will join with the dems and successfully block a nomination. These are perilous times and I don't trust any of the Senate to do what we expect them to.

Didn't we have two years to deal with Obamacare and the wall ? I have one of the senators that the media calls a moderate, I'm just thankful she voted to confirm Brett K.

The magazine ban worked real well in New Jersey didn't it? :D Feinstein is just doing what she dos best. Postulate. Remember, whatever the house does still has to have Senate approval and I don't see that happening.

The problem is the news media refuses to challenge the root cause of this issue. This base of protecting us from ourselves has been tried before around the world and without much success.
Remember to VOTE and let your representatives know how you feel, remember it can happen here and it is slowly and surely. Write the local newspaper opinion pages the Governor of your state start a grassroots campaign letting them know that their jobs ar on the line next go round. They count on the stupidity of people, to not be able to see past what they see on TV or read on face book or any other social media

i'll skip the political aspect of all this...

because guns/weapons are my "other" job.

this will never pass. highly unlikely to pass the house & has zero chance of passing the senate.

its just more BS of them saying they are removing our "evil weaponry".

aint gonna happen.

Aw come on, everyone knows that gun laws and drug laws work! That’s why there’s no drug violence in Chicago, Detroit, Oakland etc. they have severely restrictive laws, and are a few of the most violent cities in the nation.

Connecticuts got problems too.... Imagine that

the new governors answer to the budget problems is, More Casinos, Legalizing pot and tolls on the roads...

I agree with you on the pot issue... I hold a CDL license and subject to random drug testing by my employer.... state legal or not, If they find pot I'm done.
It's still on the federal controlled substances list.

pot advocates can say all they want, I grew up with plenty of guys who started smoking pot in jr high ... and never stopped... they are dumber than stumps. the term "burnout" is pretty accurate.

As far as guns,
I don't own any... I lost them all in a boating accident... :D
