Paint issue on hood of my m7060

I have a 2018 m7060 and noticed the paint on top of hood had blemishes... kinda like something burnt the paint. Like when it rains and your left with water residue and it’s not coming off

Would this be covered under warranty?

I don't think anything paint wise is covered, but you being in CA it might be different, ask your dealer.

I took it at night but it actually goes down the hood about a foot...looks like there was some kind of lettering. I bought this brand new a month ago

Just looks like they removed a label from that area it should clean off and shine up.

Yah it does look like there was something there.
I tried rubbing it off but won’t go away

I get that but when you spend 50k on a new tractor, it bugs me. If it was used then it is what it is

Try some rubbing compound then wax.

Try mineral spirits or something called Goof Off, both are good for removing residue without hurting paint.
Goof Off will also remove dried latex paint without harming the surface it's on.

I spent over 110K on my 2 and one had a scratch in the hood. I ignored it. Don't impact the functionality at all. Like I said, it's a tractor, not a Ferrari.

Lots of suggestions for improving the hood issue. All good.

Besides, look at it this way. As it gets older the Kubota Orange will fad to Mary Kay pink.

I'm with Jtryan on this one. He just spent a lot of money and it should look brand new. Let him be the one who scratches or damages it. I like my stuff to look good.

That said, unfortunately Kubota orange paint still fades in the sun like it always has.

Tractor, Ferrari or a $2000 Fridge, they all need to be perfect. Try Mineral Spirits without rubbing to hard, giving it a little time to soak in. Thats how i get residue glue off things. Then Wax.

JD Green fades as well. I own some JD equipment and it turns a nice whitish green.

I agree scratches will eventually happen but I still think when I receive a new tractor I’d like to have it near perfect for a few days lol

I wax and keep my tractor stored in garage when I’m not using so hopefully that will help with fading.

I’ll have to wait till it gets a little warmer to try and buff it out and see if that works.

I’m pretty sure any blemishes would be covered under warranty as it would fall under workmanship defect.

I agree with you 100%, you paid for a new product and it should be just that. Ignore those who say otherwise, its none of their business anyway.

You see lots of them that are faded but if they are kept in a shed and waxed they stay orange much longer. My oldest is 19 this year and still hasn't faded.

It looks and smells bad right now though because it's covered in cow mud.
