Hey all. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I was attempting to id my L185DT tractor year today (to get a part) using the serial number, but my serial doesnt seem to match the charts. If I were to go by the l185 numbering then it is a 1976 model, but if that isn't correct what do I go by?

L185DT serial: 102xx

Thanks.

You won't need the year to be able to get the correct parts for your tractor. It's not year specific like a vehicle.

What exact parts are you trying to get?
Or get a part number for?

Post your entire serial # and I might be able to give you some more details.
FYI serial #'s are not like vin numbers you can post them without an issue. ;)

Am I to guess what parts you need?

What information are you trying to get?

As I said, am am wondering why my serial number does not fall within the range of numbers for the DT model on the charts that I have found online. The DT models seem to start at 50001 and higher, but mine is lower. I am not concerned about parts. I can find them. I am just wondering how the serial numbers work in order to properly identify my tractor. Thanks.

Where are you finding this chart?

Good question, because 50001 doesn't look right.

For the OP - - I looked at the L185DT Parts Diagrams at:

https://apps.kubotausa.com/illustrated-parts/

I found several S/N breaks at 1001 and 8949, so I think your 10219 looks correct.
And charts I have seen show it to be a late 76 or early 77, numbers I am looking at are 600 after the OP's serial number, and that being a 77 model.
