Yep. A Mustang :D

The wife and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in July. To celebrate we decided to order a new 2012 Mustang. After an 11 week wait we finally got it. I spent the last 7 days adding a few goodies to it.

I don't get on this site much in the summer months because our shop is flat out this time of the year and I don't use the tractor in the summer time so I figured I'd show the new ride to you. Sorry it's not orange  I had 30th anniversary decals done for the occasion and I spent a full day on the stripes. I won't list the stuff I've added. Just to many to list right now. You guys will see it in the photos. Hope everyone is having a nice summer so far.

Thanks. It was the toughest part of the whole deal, not knowing how far along the progress was but a Customer Service Rep noticed one of my posts over on another Mustang forum and kept me informed after that. It was sure nice of her to do that and I thanked her for doing so.

I have to say that Ford did an exceptional job designing and building this car. It's flawless! My hat goes off to the fine folks who have such pride to build a fine machine like this.

Thanks for your thoughts. On a side note. I had a 1980 Vette in the shop last week. Great looking vehicles.

Hmmm...78Vette a ford employee:eek:

I'm as bad as he is. When I worked for GM I drove a Crown Vic :D

The years really start to fly bye as we get older, I remember when I was a kid a day especially the long days in June seemed to last forever, Now they fly by before you even realize they are gone. Hence a very good reason to treat yourselves to lifes pleasures while you can still enjoy them:D

Congratulations on your 30th, We will be celebrating our 32nd on Nov 10 2011

I really like the Mustangs, even the Mustang II models from 74-78 were not bad little cars when equipped with the V8, The new ones really are sharp looking, especially with their retro resemblance to the original models.

My brother has a 2008 Shelby GT500 with the supercharger, They sure are fast!

Thanks. Yep the years are just flying by. We spend a lot of time in the shop trying to keep everyone moving. Kind of hoping to take a little extra time this summer to tour around the island and visit our military boys in Ontario.
Last year we lost a friend of ours who was killed while riding a GoldWing. My wife and I ride as well but after my buddies wife died It made me rethink riding. I've been riding for 40 years now and this one shook me to the core. The cause of the accident was a young driver was texting in his car and came across the road and hit my friends head on. My buddies wife died instantly. After that happened I started to look at other options for the wife and I to spend time together so that's why the Mustang.

We almost ended up with a Shelby but my wife didn't want anything to do with a stick shift so we went with the premium 5.0 GT convert auto.

Here's our bike. Still got it but don't feel the same out it. Be careful out there folks. No one is paying attention anymore.

Wildfire,

First: I am so sorry to hear about your friends. As a former Wing rider myself I knew my ability and skills, it was the other crazy people that scared the hell out of me. You do have a very nice ride there. I do miss my Wing :(

Second: Congratulations on 30 years of marrage. I only have 17 years under my belt. She was the best decision I have ever made :D A close second was when I joined the Army. Please express my thanks to your son from one military man to another for serving your country.

Third: You couldn't leave well enough alone? New Pony and you are already "fixing" it. As always very nice mods my friend. I just wish I had your skills and abilities :D

Thank you sir. When the accident happened I went so far as to put my wing up for sale. Just as I got the call that a guy wanted it my wife asked me to keep it so I did. We have had a few rides on it since and although I really enjoy riding I can't help but think about my friends last year. I'd miss the wing as you do yours if I had sold it. kind of glad I didn't now.

Thank you very much. My wife is something else. She puts up with all my crazy ideas and have always encouraged me to follow through with them and although they have all paid off for us some of the ideas have been way out there. I give her all the credit. I'm more than lucky to have here. No trouble to see your on your way to 30 years as well. Good for you. sure nice to hear it.

My two military sons read all there crazy dads posts and I'm sure they will appreciate your kinds words. Thank you for your service. Freedom don't come cheap and it's the finest of folks such as yourself that we need to thank for our freedom.

My dad used to always tell me to leave things as they are and as you can see I didn't listen :D Every time I buy something I always get the feeling they left something out so I try and put it back in or improve on the way it works or even looks. Not sure if I've ever succeeded, that will be up to you guys to determine but I sure have fun doing it. ;)

You give me way to much credit but I really do appreciate your comments and your kind words on my work. Thank you very much!

Mr. Wildfire....you've got a great thing going there! 30 years with the same companion is remarkable....awesome.....hat's off to you two! All the toys aside, the 30 years are a true blessing.

Us less than 30 year fortunate one(s) however....would be happy to help you unload some distracting "toys" so your focus could remain on such a good thing.... ;)

That pony looks SHARP sir.....and that bike.....well, sure looks comfy and ready to go the distance for ya!

Good on ya :)

Thank you my friend. Much appreciated. Ya I'm a lucky guy to have found such a great gal. July will be the 30th year but it's been 31 together. This is going to be a great July coming up because our son comes home from an 8 month tour in Afganastan. We can't wait.
Well June has been the rainiest since 1984. It's rained 24 out of the last 26 days. So I got a bike I can't ride. A car I can't drive and a tractor I can't operate because we don't have any snow :( Hell the only thing to do here these days is work :) Wonder what would happen if I bought a plane  Thanks for your kind thoughts. It was very nice of you to take the time to comment. Stay well.

Well I don't know about The Great North but your southern neighbor we have the FAA and they frown on making your own mods. So I think you made a good choice with the Kubota and the Stang. :D

Same up here to a certain size. A few years ago I was going to buy a plane but decided not to because my buddy ended up with a few health issues. Still there are times I like to look at what's around :(
