Can of o-rings (or is it worms)?

I bought a used L245 in non-working condition. I am now attempting to rebuild the fuel shut-off valve. The o-ring is trashed. I received a can of parts along with the tractor. There are a myriad of o-rings and some of them are pretty close to the size I am looking for.

Does anybody have some physical dimensions that I can compare these to?

I know that these are relatively inexpensive. But, if I already have it...

An O ring is not an O ring, much like OIL is not OIL.......

diesel will eat up an O ring that is not made to handle the diesel - some are pressure sensitive too. The O ring you are looking for, is going to look a little too big to start with, then with a little lube will collapse in the hole.

Get your ol WSM out and do some digging and find out what O ring is needed.

I almost never throw extra "parts" away. I'll find a use this doo-hickey someday...

Definitely with Hokie here, though. Could be a problem later somehow if that bugger acts up and you can't run/use your tractor because of leaks, etc.

The part # is 04811-00080. The manual told me that. I guess I'll just go buy the part and pair it up myself.

That .99 O ring will cost you almost 10 bucks to get it home.....I would order a few and more

If you have a Kubota Dealer close by, and if it is like mine,
they do a stock order weekly and do not charge shipping.

I have never paid for Kubota shipping - ever

Billrigsby, I'm never that fortunate. I have one of the largest Kubota dealers in TX, just a few miles away, and they don't have it. But, they will be happy to ship it to me for $15. I'll pass on that.

I put one of the o-rings I already have on it. A bit of priming and the beast runs! No leaks so far.

I'll add the OEM o-ring to my "next visit to a different dealer" list.

I have so much better luck with smaller, more remote dealers. They almost always have it, they are cheaper, and if they don't understand your request right away, they'll take the time to help find the answer.

Well, I guess "Bigger Ain't Better" Perhaps they may learn,
when a customer needs an implement or even an upgrade on their tractor.

Customers have a memory, some places I go for small stuff and convenience,
being in the mountains, BUT
if big bucks are involved, I'll travel the 25-50 miles based on past experiences.
