Hello Kubota people. I have a Kubota L4740 (cab and loader) plus lots of other attachments. I recently bought a Kubota BH92 (50 hours use) paint still on bucket. It came off an L5740. The dealer told me that the sub frame is the same for the L4740. I don't have any installation manual for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Derek.

Which model L4740? I think the L4740-1 cab is not compatible with BH while the L4740-3 models are.

If anyone has a L4740 with the cab and loader, if you could take a pic of the sub frame attachment points from the loader frame back to the end, it sure would help out, thanks, Derek. you can email the pics to me if you want,, derektwakefield(at)gmail(dot)com

It***8217;s simple to tell which revision you have by looking at how the PTO engages. -1/-2 use a manual lever and the -3 uses a rotary electrical switch to engage rear PTO. When I was looking for a cab tractor, I did a bit of research to make certain it could accept a backhoe. Ideally I wanted to be able to use the BH90 I already had on the L3130, but there was no way to make it work. The L4740-3 Cab (I have one) will accept a BH92.

There may be a sticker on the left hand dash side panel that runs down to the tilt steering release. The label contains various info including which model/revision. It's visible when opening the door. look for the sticker on the plastic near the windshield. (Assuming it is still there)

Here's what one of the footnotes listed in the wholegoods document for backhoe use on Grand L40's. Occasionally these documents are incorrect, so always verify with your local dealer.

"BH92 Compatible with all GL-40 ROPS Tractors and GL40-3 Cab."

Here's a picture of the yellow rotary PTO electrical switch. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/189739-kubota-grand-l3940-pto-questions-2.html#post2165788

Good luck!

I don’t have a subframe for the BH92 mounted on my L4740-3 cab tractor. I decided to keep the L3130 rops with BH90 backhoe. Kind of nice having a 2nd tractor with BH ready for use.

Can’t comment on your tag ID. Never seen one listed that way. Perhaps post a picture of the tag.

How does your PTO engage; lever or rotary switch?

Give me the tractor serial # and I should be able to tell you which model you have. ;)

Derekw I am fairly certain with the lever pto engagement you do NOT have the necessary -3 version to mount a BH92 to a cab.

Where do you live? Asking because your tag looks considerable different than mine. Mine does not have Japanese lettering on it.

NI Wolfman - I believe the last 5 digits of the IDNO is the serial number. At least that is the case with my tag.
