L245 shut off

I'm trying to find the shut off on my l245. The previous owner could not remember how to. In the manual it shows a shut off arm near the injection pump but I cannot find it and there is no pull cable on the dash. I found what looks like a solenoid that has the wires cut off it which I'm not sure if that's part of it or not.

I think it is like my L185...
Look for a flat bar on the lower right side of the dash tower.

It has a notch for your finger and is near where the hand throttle rod pivots.

Take the tractor to idle and then hold up on the bar and it will kill the tractor.

Not doubting u guys but what is that solenoid for?? Was that an option & it also has a manual sh/off??

That's the clutch safety switch shown in the OP's first picture.

ok I know the lever you are talking about. I figured the shut off would be separate to the throttle but makes sense as it is a fuel shut off. Still learning what I can where this is my first tractor. I bought it not running, still waiting for a new starter to arrive and figured I should know how to shut it off before I try to start it lol

What exactly does that switch do? If hooked up does the clutch need to be depressed to start? Will the tractor start with the wires cut off like that or do they need to be connected?

The tab underneath is hooked to the rocker for the clutch. The tab rotates up and presses the switch in to complete the starter circuit.

It's so you have to have the clutch pressed in, in order to start the tractor.

Yes you will need to connect the 2 wires together in order for the solenoid to get the signal from the switch.
After you get it running, buy a new Clutch safety switch and wire it in!

Ok I see how that works now thanks. When I take the cab off to fix the steering box it will be a good chance to going over all the wiring. I have a lot of cut wires dangling from the dash as well as past the starter toward the front. front headlights in the hood are not hooked up. But all the other lights work as well as the heater and window wiper. Still waiting for the new starter....still 6 days out...
