I'll be interested in what you find out since we are in similar climates.

I had the same code twice. The first time they replaced the EGR valve. It happened again, and I went in and talked to them. The service guy said he thought there was a bulletin on that. Looked it up and saw they recommended an insulation kit. Not much to it, but I haven't had a problem since they put that on.

For me it only happened during regens in hot weather, and the EGR is in an area that sees a lot of heat during the regen. So the insulation with reflective (aluminized) outer layer makes sense.

Good luck.

No worries my friend, as soon as I get back home, probably Tuesday as I have to go into town then anyway I'll let you and anyone who's interested know. I must say that I screwed up a while back when I was putting the new air filter in when I was in a rush cause we had company drop in and my mind was in two places (very limited to start with) probably has nothing to do with it but you never know.

It was all good this morning, still dark, got probably 3 quarters of a mile out my driveway on the uphill (P 2414) engine error showed, heavy packed snow, turtle low high rpm, kinda between a rock and a hard place. Stopped temperature good, got out had a listen and took a good sniff everything seemed to be fine so I carried on, but all the time just wanting to get back to google the code. The warning light went out as soon as I shut it off and nothing on a restart, good news. Still I know damn well it's black with soot in there somewhere even though it's always run at the upper range in the rpm's (no Wolf not rapid paw movement) and I never let her lug...drove diesel trucks for too many years.

Well I think I have to point the finger at myself, just way too much Chit going on here lately. When I walked out this morning I started remembering that morning and the blizzard that was going on. I opened up the shipping container door, started up the tractor and revved her up to 1500 or so, left the door open and came back inside to let her warm up. When I went back out the wind was so high it blew the door almost shut so she was in there sucking back her own fumes, kinda like farting in a confined space, can really throw your senses off. Anyway I stopped in at the Kubota dealer today and they confirmed what I was thinking, good news eh. Anyway, before I went in I took the battery cable off for a bit which cleared the code and she's working finest kind. Now on to the next screw up. Oh and by the way while I was talking to the Kubota boys they told me that they were having zero problems with these tractors.

Glad to hear that they aren't having issues with this model.
