I was power washing my l3200, I was low on fuel but I guess I did not realize how low and I was on an incline front up back side down. I didn't hear tractor sputter over the noise of the power washer, when im done washing I realize tractor is not running. I initially thought I did something when washing, but when I couldn't restart I suspected I ran I out of fuel. I know better than this, just dumb on my part. I refilled and I started to bleed at injectors, you need to be a magician to get to the #2 injector. 1 and 3 I see fuel, not a lot but evidence of fuel, #2 nothing. heres my question, when you take the cap off the injector where it looks like you would add oil, what should you see. mine was dry. is it possible my incline is keeping fuel from helping bleed these lines and what fluid should I see in the plug I took off, isn't that fuel. my tractor has just 200 hrs on it. I purchased a new fuel filter and plan on putting that on before I start again.
any help is appreciated
thank you

Your manual should show the procedure for your tractor.

Retighten your injector fittings. On the side of the injection pump you will find a knob about the size of a quarter or smaller. Open it counter clockwise. Turn the engine over in 20 second attempts. give it a min or so between attempts to give the starter time to cool. When the engine starts, close the valve and go to work.

The valve you are referring to is called a jet start valve, just to put a name to it! ;)

I've very confused by this remark? there is no "cap" on the injector, clarify!

I was curious too. I checked the parts breakdown and there is sho nuff a oil fill plug on the side of the injection pump body.

The fuel line nipple faces forward on the fuel tank. So if the tractor is going up an incline, and the fuel tank is low, then the fuel level could fall below the nipple.

L3200 owners, no bleeding or messing with the fuel injectors is needed. As rentthis describes, there is an easy procedure to purge air. It is also in the L3200 Operators Manual.

Before changing or cleaning the fuel filter, make sure that you know what to do with the o-rings as shown on page 59 of the Operators Manual.

Well that's not the injection pump body, that's the side of the block... :p Yea yea yea I know semantics. :D

And to the OP no you won't see oil up that high in the block, it's only splash feed oil to the IP.

Oil fill plug in question:

I must having a senior moment, thats the oil Phil cap. I stopped at a Kubota dealer and he said never should have to crack the lines, just use the jet start valve and be patient and because of the incline make sure the tank is as full as possible. I know better than run it dry.

Thanks for all the input.

with everything I have done to try and get this tractor started, new fuel filter make sure the tank is chock full and based on how easy this should bleed itself maybe im barking up the wrong tree. on a gas engine you can check for spark, if this was a gas id say no spark. although once in a while it acts like it wants to go. is there anything when I was power washing that I could have shorted, I checked the fuses under the lower left cowl, I did not really power wash in the engine area just outside cover.
any ideas where to check.

thanks

Have you followed the bleeding procedure in the manual????

If it has a solenoid I would check that also.

When you changed your fuel filter did you shut of fuel valve and forget to open it back up?

Before starting, are you fully depressing the clutch pedal and then turning the key to PREHEAT for 3 seconds? Does the glow plug indicator on the console come on as you do this?

If it hasn't been mentioned somewhere, crank the throttle up 3/4-wide open when bleeding it.
