Since Deck Over trailers sit so high, are the ramps long enough that the ramp angle is the same as a lower trailer's ramp angle ? Would it be harder or the same, driving a low sitting tractor with mower deck or with a backhoe up on to a Deck Over trailer ? I really like the wide open deck for multiple uses of a Deck Over but not sure about loading with little ground clearance(mower deck).
I'm looking at a "beaver tail" which lowers the angle of the ramps to give a more gradual incline.

Why would a trailer over 10k be subject to roadside inspections? As long as you are under 26k GCWR...should not be a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong...
In MA if the trailer is over 9999 GVWR you need a CDL licence to haul it.

Even if it is your own equipment and not for hire? Often being the owner of the equipment will allow you to move things with out the CDL. But I know the states vary.

Ya, the Socialist state of MA loves to tell you what you can and cannot do. Plus they love the taxes and fees (just another name for taxes) they can get.

Up here we have a saying,

"Why does the wind blow south?"

I have a lot of friends, family and acquaintances in the Bay State.
