When I crank my 7060 up the belts are screaming. It gets worse at mid rpm but dies out some at full throttle.

Tractor has 55 hours on it. Belts look nice and tight and don’t show any signs of abnormal wear.

Could this be the bearings in the water pump?

At 55 hours the chances of the water pump being bad are pretty slim. I would redo the belt tension first and see if it clears up.

If it's still squealing, then loosen belt and check each pulley and spin by hand. Could be an alternator, idler pulley, or water pump. If it catches when spinning, then chances are that's the one with the bearing going out in.

Good call...but if over 2 years old, won't do much good.

Does it have a/c? That belt is known to slip if not tighter than 2 coats of paint. Alternator and water pump belt doesn't need that much tension but the a/c does because the belt doesn't wrap around that much pulley given the amount of load that's on it.

Have not had to replace a water pump on any of the 60 series. Haven't had to do but ONE on the 40 series; and it had a shade over 6000 hours on it. That doesn't mean they don't go bad, it just means based on my experience they don't go bad that often.

Can you remove the belt and turn the pulleys by hand? If one's "tight" you'll know it pretty quick.
