I purchased a BX2015a two spool unit in a private sale.
The seller was a bit surprised when the float function was investigated during the inspection process. He didn't know it was there even though he had used the unit on his own snow blower fitted BX.
After mounting the unit on my B7200, (it fits, and looks "factory"!). I can feel that both spools have a float function, but that the detent for the "left/ right " or bucket curl and dump does not retain the float position. The fore/aft. boom lift and drop works "normally", with the float detent holding position until pulled back.
I'm not fitting a loader, but rather putting power to lift and rotate the chute of a front end snow blower. So a retained detent does not matter for chute control.
But.....
Is the non-retained detent for the float function on one of the two spools "normal"? Or is there something amiss in the float function detent assembly?
Also, of the three ports not associated with control function, one marked BY, one marked P, and one unmarked. Can I assume the unmarked port is return to tank.
I'll likely blow air through the control valve to double check, but thought to ask along with the original post question.
TIA
