3 Point hitch stabilizers keep bending

Hello,

I may not be using the proper part names- but I will do my best to describe the issue I am having-

I have a 2001 L3000DT tractor and I am finding that I go through at least 1 set of the threaded turnbuckle stabilizers that you tighten to control sway on the 3 point hitch arms.

I do keep these tight, but it seems like running a disc, plow, or grader blade tends to bend the threaded pieces very easily.

Rather than keep buying these parts, I would like to upgrade these parts to ones that are on newer tractors.

Can anyone tell me if I can retrofit these?

I would even like to upgrade the lower lift arms to the type that adjust for length.

Any info or part numbers will be much appreciated.

Replace the turnbuckles with the telescoping kind. Search for a member here named Hodge or search for stabilworks (I think)

I have had the same problem. I had to replace one turnbuckle bolt. My fix was always keeping something in the lift arms. My go to is the draw bar and adjusting it with zero sway. The turnbuckles secure each other and will prevent the bind/bend issue. If it can't bind.... it can't bend. Hope this helps....

If you are pulling any ground engaging implements, it is wise to raise them when making turns, trying to maintain straight lines or even gentle turns to follow contours but if not raising implement when cornering causes a lot of stress through entire hitch system and well the stabilizers become the weakest link. They should not bend on what would be a normally straight pull. But following suggestion further up the thread, Hodges stabilizers are great, I have a set on My BX and never any issues, and SO SO much easier than those blasted archaic turn-buckles.

I solved all my rear stabilizer issues by fitting these telescoping easy adjusting rear bars. These fit your Tractor. They make life much easier for attachment mounting and operation.

Will these fit the L4060? I bent my turnbuckles in less than one week of ownership (to be fair, I had to break something). Now that it's christened, I want something better. Messicks model list doesn't seem to include the grand L.
