When we did firewood a few years ago, we would just stack it in pile and let it cure a year, I like the holtzhause style! :D

Never seen it done like that,, would save a load of work stacking,,but then I stack mine in the old barn

Im still waiting for my bud to load up a large ash I cut down and up last fall my little husky has an 18 inch bar and I had to cut down both side ,, He said he was going to load it with his big MF has a claw set up and put it in the dump truck and drop it off,, should be good for a cord or so

It takes some trial and error but when you master the stacking principle it’s easy. The whole idea behind this stacking method is that you only use the ‘perfect’ blocks for the outside and just dump the weird shaped stuff on the inside. Air circulation from the bottom to the top will dry the wood properly, also in the middle. It works and it leaves room for the orange danger to park it on a dry spot haha.
