Yes, it's not a kubota and no I'm not operating it. However, I'd have considered robbing the local bank in tiny Flanagan, IL, if I could have used the money to pay the dealer to let me pull a big ol' implement through the neighboring field!

I was in Flanagon visiting a customer for work and this massive beast was calling to me on the way out of town. So of course I had to go see it and dream a little. You can see the full size rental suburban next to the tractor.

It has a fuel capacity of 400 gallons and 363 PTO horsepower!!

Seriously, wouldn't you love to sit in the cockpit (that's what the driver station looks like) and operate this beast just for a little while? The hydraulic hose connection on the back looks like a rubik's cube! :)

Have you or anyone you know operated a tractor of this capacity and complexity?

I have not operated anything this massive. Closest I get is to do a ride along in a JD combine come harvest time. I am relegated to pulling grain trailers from the combine to the road trucks if I am lucky.

If you really like tractors and are in Central Ohio July 12-15, check out the Miami Valley Steam Threshers show up in Plain City Oh. There are easily over 1000 tractors on site and usually 8 or so old steam tractors running everything from threshing equipment to a saw mill. Nothing like the smell of burning coal, hot grease and steam.... Great food and a pretty interesting swap area. Lots of old stuff is for sale as well. I am not allowed to take the check book, over 100 in cash or credit cards.....

Here's the link http://www.ohio.org/events/steam-threshers-festival

Each year they focus on a particular manufacturer, this year it is Ford. Oh man, I can not wait. Just like a kid the week before Christmas

What!?

No three point?

Seriously, they come considerably larger than 360 PTO HP.

I haven't operated one but I saw the largest case IH center articulated tractor in action one day. A local concrete contractor managed to bury a loaded concrete truck all the way to the frame in mud. They panicked and called the dealer who sent it over.
BTW it took the big tractor PLUS a big old cat track loader to pull the truck out.

Well, with no three point hitch I hope you can at least get a belly mower for it.
And turf tires on the off chance it might damage my lawn.

But wait: There's no ROPS either! (It's a shame that some of these other manufacturers choose to cut corners.)

Biggest one I ran was a JD 8630 pulling a 28' wing disk. Pretty cool when you're 16.

That thing would put some power to the ground, wouldn't it?!
Sure did! Far cry from the 4020, 4230, and 4320 that were used as well. Geez, it just occurred to me that was over 35 years ago!

Could have used that thing last week. Large maple blew over into my pond. Took my f250 and Kubota and double snatch blocks to get it out.

At my dealer's Ride and Drive event last summer as things were winding down he asked me if I had gotten to try out everything I wanted to, and I said "well I'd like a ride in the M7 out back just for fun"...he tossed me the keys, but I allowed as how maybe he'd better drive, I'd already climbed up in the cab and decided I didn't recognize too many of the controls. So since there is a handy jump seat for "instruction purposes" we went for a ride. Turned out somebody had preset the auto drive for some pretty high speed  and he hit the brakes, saying "good thing the brakes still over ride the auto settings." Good thing he was driving there was a lot of other expensive equipment out in that field. :D

I got into a 8xxx John Deere at an auction several years ago.
Sitting there in the cab, I didn’t have a clue how to even start it!
(Not that I would have, but it was an eye-opener!)

Steigers were those bright green (lime green) rigs right? I remember seeing those.

Versatile 1150 back in the '80's. It was rated at 400 drawbar horsepower and was a fairly large tractor in its day. Pulled a 60' chisel.
60 foot chisel plow? Wow. I've never seen on that big. We used a chisel as well, made some big holes!

Yup Steigers were the big lime green ones. They were pretty popular where I grew up. They were built pretty close to us in Fargo. I didn't know that they made it that far East.
