Power Beyond Port?

Hello all,

I've recently purchased a post driver so I can build about 2000' of fencing. The post driver has its own hydraulic valves and simply needs a constant hydraulic feed from the tractor. On my old Deere, this was called Power Beyond. Not sure if it's the same on the Kubota. Any idea if there's a power beyond kit for the M7060HD? I went to my local dealer and they just looked at me funny and offered to sell me two additional remotes (there's only one on the tractor now). If there is no Power Beyond kit, what might be the best solution to power the post driver?

Thanks in advance!

Do you need your remotes for something else at the same time, or can you plug your driver into them?
Is your driver open center or closed center hydraulic system. Does it come with 2 hoses with quick connects?
Generally, a remote may be able to be used for implements with the aid of a bungee cord if it doesn't have selectable detent positions, dependent on valve type and hydraulic circuit.

I think Dave-eng has additional rear remotes on his M7040, and he's knowledgeable about hydraulic circuits, and would have the circuits for his tractor which would be close to yours I expect. Shoot him a PM for more info.
By the way, there is a service manual available for download for your tractor here if you don't have one. The manual may have some differences from the USA model, but does have engusa before the code so may be the good oil.

Would be good to have more details about this driver. Is it mounted on the rear of the tractor, the front, or is it hand-held? Maker and model?

What pressure is needed to run the implement, and what not to exceed pressure?

There are a lot of ways to do this and better info will get better advice.

Real simple, tell them you want to hook up a Backhoe.
It's a backhoe loop, or better called power beyond loop. ;)

Do they not train any of the dealers into what can be done with there tractors and equipment they sell?
I keep hearing more and more of dealers pulling the DUHHHH...We can't do that!

I could be wrong, but I didn't think they offered the backhoe loop in the larger M series, I thought they only came with a set of remotes and optional additional remotes, so I can see the dealer only offering that combination, and not straying from the standard OEM offerings.

Happy to be corrected though!

Is this proof enough? ;)

BH's like this do not run off of remotes, they run off of a Power beyond loop. ;)

I know what a power beyond lop is and how they work, I've even got one on my B21. What I'm interested in is the valve configuration differences between the 9 with factory auxiliary hydraulics, and the 11 ft with auxiliary valve? Do you have the schematics for the options on offer by any chance?

Thanks for all the replies. I haven't been able to find a power beyond kit yet, but apparently it exists, so I'll keep looking. I don't have the specs on the driver (it's old). It mounts on the 3PH, has a two way valve (up/down, the angles are adjusted manually), so a single set of valves should run it. I don't use the current remote while this is on the tractor.

just use your remote, you dont need a high flow setup to run the post driver, the valve should be open center, as most every tractor mounted implement i have ever been around that has a machine mounted valve has either a pressure compensated dump or is open center.

+1
This is how I run our PHD on my Ford 4610 remotes. The PHD has a return line andis basically a single acting cylinder that raises the driver with the PHD control valve. I hook my PHD supply line to the remote port for my loader bucket curl and bungee it into that position. When you reverse the position of the PHD control lever, the supply port is opened to return line and into the reservoir, i,e, the rear axle housing and the weight of the driver drops to hit the post.

I think the writing on the factor build option is confusing you.
The Auxiliary Hydraulics and Auxiliary valve options are both essentially the same and has nothing to do with the tractor side of things it has to do with the BH controls and BH boom having the Auxiliary controls and piping for a hydraulic thumb or other hydraulically powered option on the bucket side of the BH. ;)

Sounds like I'll be using what's on the tractor just to get this thing going. Thanks for the help with sorting this out!.
