For starters: The instructions that come with the first position valve kit leave a whole lot to be desired. They are not clear at all.

I have managed to get the kit installed and the loader and 3 point still work so I am confident that it is plumbed properly.

However I have a bad leak where the "outlet section" attaches to the valve.

Where the valve attaches to the adapter....there are O rings and such. But the outlet section to valve portion is simply flat aluminum to flat aluminum. Thats where I am leaking. the fluid is exiting around the studs that mount the whole she bang to the machine. I would expect to see a gasket or something in there.

Has anybody else ever had this issue? NIW? Somebody who has installed a pile of these?

As most folks won't have seen your exact valve, some pictures of the offending fittings would be invaluable to receive an appropriate response.

There that is a pic of the offending bugger. I hope it loads. Of course it's sideways.... not my day :(

The Hyd fluid is leaking out around the nuts that hold the block to the studs. That tells me that the block needs some sort of gasket or something... It;s like putting heads on a car with no head gasket and wondering why coolant is blowing out the bolt holes.

Yes there would need to be orings between the block faces around the port entries, if there isn't it's not going to work. Perhaps the orings are part of the original spool face, and since sandwiched to the original plate, now need to be replaced to get a seal to this new plate. Be aware that as oil is leaking through the bolt hole, it could be from either sandwich.

Since it's leaking, you'll likely need to remove again, undo it and take pics of each plate.

I just installed mine. Instructions are crummy, but everything seems to work just fine. I know that you need orings on all the faces that sandwich together.

That's not going to work, either it missed the oring groove machining or the spool plate needs to be flipped 180 degrees to the other face? Does the spool plate have orings on it, and also on the base plate?

That was it. I was 180 degrees out on the valve. Leak resolved. My valve however seems to be missing the little plate that provides the fulcrum for the lever. it all hooks up right, but there is no place for the upper pin. Perhaps I have misplaced it. Ahh...there it is - inside the box that the valve came in. DUH.

I cannot thank you enough 100td - you were spot on.

That is the beauty of these forums! If you wanna know how to do anything - there's almost always someone who has plowed that ground before.
