Hi folks. I haven't posted in a long time.Back in Spring of 2016 I brought home from my Father-In-Law's little farm my 1980(81?) Kubota L185 2WD. I have owned this old girl since buying her from a local doctor friend in 2005 here in Bowling Green, KY. I had planned to repaint my tractor, and with a lot of advise from wonderful folks here, I located a new seat, ordered blue lower paint, and had great plans to repaint and display my tractor. Maybe drive it in a local parade or two also. I've been blessed with the chance to give my granddaughters many rides through the subdivision we now live in and have photos of them that will last my remaining lifetime. Good stuff.
The wind for the repainting and prettying up labor of love was taken from my sails though in August of 2016 when my beloved Father-in-law and Mother-in-Law were both murdered in their home at the same little farm just south of Morgantown, KY. My beloved wife Penny and I were the family members who found them when we couldn't raise them by phone the next day for our usual several times a day "whatcha doing" calls back and forth. Fast forward to recently and the man arrested for their murders remains in jail, and we attend frequent pre-trial hearings, and a trial date hasn't been set yet. We have a long way to go we are told.
After long back and forth I've told Penny and myself I really don't want to repaint my tractor any more. Physically, my spine has deteriorated and I have trouble even getting up and down on the ground to do even modest work.
I'm going to put my tractor up for sale here in the classified section. I want to say thanks to everyone here that offered guidance and help as I got started. Don.
