Hello,
I'm working on an old L285 I bought a while ago.
I finally got it running after I had the injection rebuilt.
I'm now doing a little clean-up and some sheetmetal work, but there's a few things I would like to know.
They tell me it's a 1977 L285P. I would like to know the lift capacity of the three-point hitch. Also does anybody know the PSI and GPM of the hydraulic system?
Is there a hydraulic cylinder somewhere?
The charge light does not go off unless I get it to about 1800 RPM. Is this normal?
I've heard yes and no.
Should the glow plug indicator glow very bright? I can't really see it very well, but if I hold it for about 45-60 seconds then crank, it does start.
Is there anywhere I can go and download a manual? Free would be nice, but I could pay a little. One thing I would really like to have is an electrical schematic or diagram.
I would appreciate any information I can get. If anybody has photos of a L285 in fair condition, it would help me figure how things are supposed to look like.
Thanks, rickrmf
