Really nice piping work you have done. I do not like verticals, however. A big selling point for me on my tractors is the low exhaust. I have a lot of woods I run thru and a vertical is a no no.
Mine make no stains, no smell and I sure like the way they are set up.

I have a b2301 that I added a 1 1/2" EMT long radius 90 that I cut with a portion of the bend used to aim exhaust at the ground behind the FEL bucket. the curve of the pipe holds it in place. Light hammering made the bend hold it in place without clamps. About 10 hrs. so far and it's stayed in place.

I am planning on doing this nearly exact mod in a few weeks. Have you had any issues with the exhaust getting to hot next to that plastic near the dash. Didn’t know if I should position the vertical exhaust a few inches more foreword.
no sir, i drag a trailer all around my mountain neighborhood and get things hot regularly, have seen no issues.

I'm guessing you keep that tractor in a shop or garage.
Leaving it out in the rain may not be a good ideal. Of course you could get one of those flappers for the pipe.....if you like the noise.

The original poster could easily drill a small hole in the junction box he built to allow any moisture to escape. It would take quite a bit of moisture to get high enough to reach the exhaust manifold.

The new / used M I just bought came with the optional down exhaust pipe. My cab M has the vertical in the hood factory. I like them both actually. No front view obstruction with the down exhaust and yes, she blows some black smoke but nothing of consequence.

If I went vertical it would cost me over 450 bucks in parts alone. The mufflers on the M's are stainless as are the pipes.
