Joe - - Are you sure your L185DT is Gray Market?

At the top of this Category, one of the Moderators, CoachGeo, put a "Sticky" that has a bunch of Gray Market references.

There's a list of Gray and US models. I see L1-185 is gray, but not a L185DT:

I found L185DT in the US Kubota parts listing:

https://apps.kubotausa.com/illustrated-parts/

Agree to the terms, put in your model number. That'll take to the parts listing. (Unfortunately, I didn't see decals in a quick look)

Most can be got from the Kubota dealer, Russell King helped me out on these a few years ago.
Here is a link to the spreadsheet he sent me and some of my research in
part number changes.

I was working on a L1500 but a similar machine.

No, finding all the label part numbers is teadiuos at best,
they had no rhyme or reason as to what they were called back then,
most just said LABEL.
I went page by page and looked at every description, then had to look
at the drawing and compare that to photos to determine which "label"
I was looking at.

Never ever understood Kubota on this. In 1982 went to Kubota dealership and the lady in the parts department refused to order me a complete set for a L245DT that I wanted to repaint. Refused to do it because they all came individually. Guess they do not like selling labels.

The tag on the tractor is in Japanese... with the model number listed as L1500DT.......All the books and reference material given to me when I purchased the tractor are for a L185DT.. I have done a lot of research and this seems to be what the case is..Although I'm still learning and interested to all advise..

The dealer will order parts for you if you provide them PART NUMBERS . They don’t have to have a serial number to order.

The L185DT and L225DT are basically the US versions of the L1500DT, or as close as you will get.
The 185 for the operation and the 225 for the 4WD (parts).
Like the L175 is the US version of the L1500.
If you tell the dealer you want parts for any 1500 they will generally not sell them to you.
You have to order parts for the US version if you're going to a Kubota dealer.
