Hows it going!

I commute/drive for work I do roughly 60k miles a year and spend anywhere from 3-5 hours a day in my work van. I was wondering what kind of mods have you done in your vehicle to make the trips more comfortable and enjoyable?

(Mod edit, Its a tractor forum, so mods to your daily driver (auto) are off topic.)

Re: Daily Driver Mods

I've done projects that required 2 hours driving in the morning, and a little more than that to get home. The relief came when I jumped at the chance to run the shops after the kids were on their own. That's a bit less than 1/2 hour each way.

EDIT TO ADD: I should mention that I have sleep apnea, and it wasn't until after getting off the road till I got my CPAP. The drive home used to be torture.

Re: Daily Driver Mods

The only customizing I've done for trips to make them more enjoyable is take my dog!

I don't have it but I would think about satellite radio if I spent that much time at the wheel

Satellite radio is a must. Not much worse while driving than trying to find a decent radio station. Well, i guess going out of range of a decemt radio station would be worse. [emoji6]

I do a lot of long distance road trips for out of state hunts, and visits with family and friends. I will set up all my needs, drinks, snacks etc, easy to reach and accessible. I have a phone mount from ram that uses one of the cup holders for charging and hands free use. If you have a newer vehicle that has integrated acceptance of your phone systems, onto your vehicle touch screen it’s a plus.
Basically the more comfortable your position, the easier it is to drive lots!

Winter tires and wheels.
Satellite radio.
Apple CarPlay. (no need for nav, provides music, provides hands free cell)
HuskyLiner mats for winter slush. (Weathertech is too slippery)
Coco Mats or plush carpet mats for summer.
If you have a SUV or wagon: Canvasback cargo liner to cover the cargo area and rear seat back for your dog / cargo.
