Yooper I worked for a while at a gas station in high school. Yes wash the windows fill the tank check the oil and so on,,, We had one young Lady,, now remember this was in the 60's, that drove a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, a very dark blue, chrome mags with little skinny white walls and it was never dirty,,ever,, the interior was white leather. GAWD that car was beautiful. Anyway she would pull in get 2 bucks worth of gas, and as long as I was there she never came in not wearing a short dress I mean SHORT.
I have to say that she had the cleanest windshield in town:D

I wish I worked at your gas station Skeets.
I had a young gangsta wanna be at mine. He drove a crappy Cadillac. He always had me put in two bucks of gas, wash all of the windows, check the oil, transmission fluid and the air in all of the tires. He also had the cleanest windows in town.

Wife wanted the guy at the oil place to add some air in one of tires. He came back and said he couldn't put air in her tires because they were nitrogen filled, if he did, they would blow up......

That commercial makes my skin crawl too...But I've got something even worse...when folks from NJ come to PA and get gas...many do not have any idea on how to do it since they cannot pump their own gas in NJ.

Skeets, I've had similar experiences working at a gas station when I was in my early teens...Your girl must have had a twin in eastern PA as well. We all looked forward to her coming in for a "top-off".

As an insurance agent I can tell you the Liberty Mutual commercials are THE most annoying ones for me. For many reasons beyond the helpless teenage boy, but that’s one of the worst offenders for sure.

Not a fan of the “accident forgiveness” one they have either, considering damn near all my companies give you that up front. It’s not like it’s something new.

Never understood the reasoning for that. Bizarre.
It's the same in Oregon as well. Oregon did change the law there recently that in some rural areas you are now allowed to pump your own gas after hours  It did create a pretty good uproar with the public. Some folks were pretty ticked off about it and demanding that someone still pump there gas for them :p :D
