Folks... I spend a lot of time in the Kubota B2410 seat. I would like to replace it with a nice adjustable hydraulic damped seat with arm rests. I can do some mods to make one connect to the tractor... that is not a problem.

has anyone done this? Any recommendations?

Thanks! Butch

I got a quote at $1500 for a Grammar MSG75/731 air suspension seat with swivel. I need to park my behind in one before I order. I hate the OEM seat on my M59 as its sloped forward and I constantly feel like I'm sliding off it if I'm not wearing my seat belt.

I looked for one a couple years ago that would fit my B7500. The problem I had with all of them was the height. They all raised the seating level by at least 4", some of them nearly a foot.

saw an episode of Classic Tractor Fever - some old tractor had a cloth/canvas seat - it was common they said to use a feed sack...

the seat was just 2 rods and the cloth/sack was slipped over them, like a canvas cot or hammock or 'directors' chair.

Looked stupidly simple and comfortable, easy to clean or replace. and it would breathe better than any vinyl seat cover.

And if the rails/rods were spring steel you'd have suspension too.

Do you have a picture of this installed on your tractor? Did you have to do lots of modifications to make it work?
I am also in the market for a seat for my B7100.

Thanks!
Jr,

I have that one installed on my B7100 that needed a seat, the seat was completely rusted though. I cannot remember if I had to drill a couple more holes, I think two did matched up and I needed two more. Once installed I was a little disappointed at first - why? I was like a helicopter pilot! I was so far up that it felt weird to drive:eek: - everything was still in reach, but the way the "shock" absorber is designed in the back I could not adjust it to sit low enough.

I did make a correction to the seat and it is now excellent to use - armrests are made of metal and I bent them in a bit on each side to create a cradle effect.

Here are some pictures - to make it stay down, I had to run a small piece of cable through and clamp it in place to hold the seat as low as possible.
