Nice. Now you're ready for a good long road trip!
That would be wonderful & long overdue, but this caregiver thing really keeps us tied down.
We had planned on replacing the LHS sooner, (202K mi) but it took us a while to do all the shopping/comparing/driving/dealing when we could only break loose for 2hrs here & 3hrs there, but we finally got it done. Pretty happy with the MKX.

Going to be doing the same thing. Time to replace the wife***8217;s Tahoe and want to give everything a try. What made you settle on the MKX may I ask?

We looked at Buick, Lexus, & Lincoln, but only seriously considered Lexus & Lincoln. Wife was not happy with that "in your face" grill of the Lexus RX350, plus the Lexus was $10K higher for the same trim/equipment levels. Lexus was a little less willing to deal, and would not even consider our LHS in trade. The MKS has a lot more interior/cargo room, and Lifetime road hazard is pretty awesome. Lincoln is a little plusher, Lexus more of a "driver's" car. In the end, it was the wife's choice, her car & her savings. It's going to take us a long time to learn all the features, but that part is fun.

As a side note, we briefly considered a "certified pre-owned Lexus", just because of the awesome warranty: 7 years, unlimited mileage.

It must have been those Matthew McConaughey TV commercials that sold you. He was out in our local community last September filming a new commercial. Of course it was all the buzz in little Roy, WA for awhile. It even made the newspapers and TV station news. That is one sweet ride Bill!
