How many ignition keys did you get with your new Kubota?

I just picked up my new BX23S form the dealer and it had only one key with it.

How many keys does Kubota provide with its new tractors?

Thanks

My BX came with two also, although the key pretty much never comes out, unless it’s on the trailer going somewhere, so no one can monkey with it

You should have gotten two keys with it, but a key from any other BX23S (or maybe all 80 series) will fit it. They're universal. You can buy keys to fit your BX23S at any Kubota dealer. They're not specific to each tractor like car keys.

compression ignition engines don' really "need" keys.

A simple spin of the starter with sufficient fuel will get them going every time.

Locking out is a matter of misunderstanding.

Just to be contrary, ;-)

Got two keys and bought 2. Universal for the L3560 which is why I lock my wheels versus relying on the ignition key for security. Besides, all I'm doing is keeping the honest people honest! If someone REALLY wants my tractor they are gonna take it.

Dealer gave me two keys and immediately asked if I need extras since I had my sons name on the sale paperwork as an owner, in all I got five, and no extra charge.

Older model yes that's true, newer models nope not true!
ECM, Fuel pump, Fuel shut off solenoids, Transmission controls, and various other aspects will not work unless you power the entire ignition circuit.
