Can anyone please help me here? I have owned my grey Kubota for 30 years and the previous owner was correct telling me it matched up with an L295 exactly. The loader is a BUSH HOG 2245QT. Will this loader fit other Kubota's. I would like to upgrade to a used 50hp min?

Click on this link from post 21. It's the parts manual for your loader. In it, it lists the models that your loader will fit ;) you just have to scroll down. It lists the subframe part numbers for the tractors it will fit.

We aren't gonna be able to answer what newer models the loader might fit. Your gonna have to measure the loader. Then measure each tractor your interested in to see if it will fit. Be forewarned that you would probably have to make your own subframe to mate the loader to a larger tractor.

That model is rated for a 30HP range tractor. ;)
You will need to get a bigger loader for a bigger tractor. :cool:

Here's a part number for the loader subframe for the M series according to the manual for that loader. It's an addition towards the bottom of the parts list. I missed it the first time I looked at it as well :)

Loader Bracket Kit P/N 24H42708 (For Kubota M 4030, M 4030 DT, M 4030 SU, M 5030, M 5030 DT, M 6030, M 6030 DT)

They do list the brackets for one of the older M series tractors so it's possible that it would work.
It's just that the ratings for the loader are in the 30HP range.
If you were to take it easy it might hold up just fine. ;)

Got the hydraulics finished and the loader installed :D

Here's the final pics :D









Of course, the first thing I did after testing and checking for leaks was to run out back. Hook the back blade up for ballast, and go fill the wood rack :D

Daren that looks good. Was the most difficult part the hydraulics or the fabrication of the brackets? What were the two "oriental" fitting you had to get? Were they compression x BSPT 90s?

The two fittings I had to order for the hydraulics were 12mm compression by NPT in a 90. I had goofed though and didn't check to see where they were shipping from when I ordered them off from eBay. Realized after they were ordered and shipped that they were coming from China:rolleyes:

Hydraulics were the easiest part. It was just a matter of cutting the hydraulic line and installing the fittings.

Hardest part of the build was the center section of the frame. Had to get the width correct, as well as keeping it far enough forward to clear the hood. Once I got the center figured out it went pretty quickly :D

Thanks guys, I'm really liking the fact that I got a loader on the tractor. It sure has cut down on labor and time around the house. Fired it up yesterday, cleaned all the downed limbs in the front yard and loaded my wood rack again in the sunroom.

Just getting the limbs picked up used to take a minimum of 3 trips with the wheel barrow. Was able to get the front yard done with one trip with the tractor and had it done in 1/4 The time. Also filling the wood rack is a minimum of 4 trips with the wheel barrow. That only takes two trips to get the rack rounded with fire wood. Also I can knock off the trash on the wood as I go and dump it on the burn pile on my way back to the wood pile :D

I love having the loader :D:D

I bought a Leon 490 loader for my L1500dt. It came with mounts for a Belarus 250. I'm trying to figure out how to merge those mounts to the L1500dt.

Yeah, that takes a little thinking out of the box. :D I cut the Massey Furgeson subframe up and just used the front quick attach mount, and the sleeves that the loader arms pinned into. Everything else, I had to start from scratch. Then it was a little trial and error to get the height right.

Just make sure you use axle bars.
That puts a ton of weight back on the rear end and take a ton of stress off the middle of the tractor.

Guessing that the subframe needs to be tied into the rear axle. The Belarus was bolted to the front of the transaxle but I don't see anywhere with enough meat on the Kubota. Did you go to the underside opposite of the fender mounts?

I tied my subframe directly to the back axle. Main portion of the subframe I built bolted to the sides of the engine and bottom of the transmission for the rear loader mounts. Then ran bars back to the rear axle. And also bars to the front of the tractor. I built a plate to bolt the front front quick connect for the loader to. I bolted the front bars to that plate.

For the rear axles, I welded an L to the back of the bars that sat tight to the bottom and front side of the rear axle, and extended past the back of the axle. Then used heavy duty U bolts to lock the L portion to the axle.

I can get you better pictures of the frame if needed.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I have a pretty good Idea of how you did yours. I'll read the thread and look at the pics a few more times before I formulate the plan for mine. Mine is 28" from the inside of one boom to the inside of the other. It's 14" from the middle of the hood to the outside seam of the muffler, so at minimum, I need to rotate the muffler so that the seams stick out at front and back; possibly replace it with something else. I did a Google image search and it looks like the front bumper/weight bracket needs to go, and I'll probably have the front drive shaft to deal with in addition to the steering. I'll probably have some questions as I start to figure things out a bit more.
