I managed to kill a nice one on the cattle farm this year. Over all we have been really blessed, one of the best years we've had as far as quality of bucks and the number of deer taken.

Nice buck! Is it just me, or do they look 3x's bigger right before you shoot? Lol

Thanks gents. I haven't taken a tape to mine, I'm guessing 18 or so. But it's at the taxidermist and most likely won't see it again for six months or more. It's a solid buck for central Oklahoma. Best part is a buddy of mine took his ten year old boy to the same spot and killed another big 8 just 24 hours later. First time we've taken two shooters of that farm in a year.

I love to see kids get a nice buck. I think I get more excited when a kid shoots one than when I shoot one. My grandfather was the same way.
My mother in law just killed her first deer(doe), she's in her sixties. Talk about excited, she was ecstatic.

That reminds me of a story a friend of mine who was a patch wearer at the time, told me about the club house they had in Montana I think. The back faced a huge field, several hundred acres. And some one would yell ELK, need less to say they had a cook out that weekend

I killed an 8 pt. last week, and another one yesterday. I hunt on my own property. Killed both of these close to my house. It's so easy to take the Kubota to the woods to bring 'em home.
