After some troubleshooting, I was able to detect that one of the hydraulic hoses was leaking on my backhoe. I want to have a new one made up but I am scratching my head on how to get a wrench on the manifold (underneath the controls) where about 7 or 8 hoses are neatly arranged about a 1/4" apart. Is there a special tool or trick to this? This is where all the hoses have a 90 degree fitting on them and connect to the manifold. I will try to get a photo and upload it later. Thanks in advance for your help!

A lot of times you need to remove other hoses to get access to the one you want, alternatively you can use crowsfoot or flarenut spanners in some situations

A lot of times it's more work to get to the line as it is to actually change it. Be sure you mark or number the lines you have to remove so you can get them back to the correct spot.

Thanks guys, got it off today and replaced it. I actually was able to get a regular wrench on it without too much problem. Luckily it was a hose on the end of the manifold. The only problem is that I cut the protective cover off the hoses when I was troubleshooting which one was leaking and now if I want to cover the hoses I will need to take all six or seven off to slip a protective sock over hoses. Do they make velcro protectors that I can wrap around without removing all the hoses?

Yes they do, in varying lengths and diameters, surplus centre would be my first thought or other bigger online hydraulic supplies, or big local shops. You can heavy cable tie to hold them altogether until you get one.
Where did you find the photo of 12 point Crawford wrenches?
Six point are everywhere from $25 and up - 12 point start at $150 and I saw one set for over $650...
