Hello everyone my name is Ray. Found this forum from searching for kubota stuff. I am the proud new owner of a 2017 BX 1880. I would have liked to get the 25 but I could not pass up the used price. Only had 10 hours on it. Keyword there is had being I put 6 on it today :). I live on 1 acre backed up to 4 acres that have overgrown into about 50ft of my yard. I have been trying to reclaim it for the last 2 year by hand. I got most of the big stuff out last year. I had to rent a BX 25D for another project and was sold after that. Moving 2 tons of gravel with a wheel barrow for a few days and barley made a dent. Rented the 25 and was done in 4 hours. So that sold me. Here's some pics of the tractor and some of the land cleared out.

Nice , and it looks like a clean slate to do what mods or upgrades you like though the land pride box blade and the quick hitch are very nice to have.
I to have a BX1880 just picked it up new . Already been modifying it bucket hooks , arm rests , bolt on bucket edge more to come . Curious what mods do you have planned ?:}

Right now I'm looking to add some lights. I also want to had the bucket hooks. I was going to put on a 3 ball hitch for me to move my trailer but found out today I could use the 3 point hitch to just lift it and move slow. I want to put on the agricultural tires but I called the dealer where it was purchased from the original owner and they said the rims and tires have been discontinued? lol. I thought, ok that guy just did not want to look up anything. Don't think I'll mod much other then bolt on stuff that I can take off. I was thinking a heater would have been nice today. In Jersey it was a little cold, but heck that's what I have long underwear and hot coffee for.

Today was the first time I used or ever have used a box blade and I have to say that thing rocks. That area of the property was a dumping ground for the last owner and so much junk came up I was shocked. I think they might have had a shed there that they destroyed. Bricks, concrete block, shingles, siding and even an old 220v wire. That wire had me freaked out at first, hoping it wasn't live, but a long stick and a shove and the 10 ft of it came out.

What he said! My wife has become so proficient at estimating the amount of time necessary for tractor tasks that I cannot fool her for even one second. She insisted on learning how to operate the tractor and attaching implements. Now she often suggests (tells) me how to do a task. She even asks me to let her use the tractor to do tasks. I would let her do it except that she might find some manual tasks for me to do and that would not be pretty.

Seriously, if you do not enjoy using this valuable tool, then you are a city boy at heart. Real women don't like city boys!;)

Cypher you said, " I put the 2 inch hitch assembly on mine as if you have to pull or be pulled from the back you really do not want to yard on the 3 point hitch very hard."

If you hooked a pull rope/chain to the bracket you bolted the hitch assembly to, wouldn't it have the same effect?:D

Thanks for all the advice. I am going to go with the chains. Been looking at both and comparing the pros and cons. Price wise I can't beat the chains and my last GT5000 had agri tires. They did rip up the lawn and I'm tired of repairing the patches.

I'm a lucky man. My wife wants nothing to do with the tractor. She is very old school woman where as she believes a man has his place in the home as does a woman. I fix everything and she cooks an cleans. Wasn't looking for a woman like that, just turned out that's how she is. As long as I'm happy with the tractor, she's happy. She says she would rather me out all day on the tractor doing work, then out all day at the bar. She don't care if I drink all day in the yard, just don't like me drinking at the bar. I'm good with that. Bar beer is way to pricey for me. Every time I do go to one for a drink I get "Cheap Mind" when I get the bill. I can't help but think I could have bought 2 cases for the cost of the bill. lol.
