Today I removed the cowling so I could replace some fuel lines and fuel filter and do some general checking on the tractor.

After getting the fuel filter and lines replaced, I go to bump the starter and bleed the air out of the lines and..... nothing. I can hear the starter relay clicking.

I pulled my truck up to see if the battery needed a jump. No help.

I tested the starter relay, neutral safety switch, and starter. All seem to be working. Power is being sent to the starter, but it won't crank. Nadda.

Is there some magic switch somewhere that gets tripped when you remove the cowling? This thing ran (albeit for only 15 mins) last week. Now it won't even crank the starter???

So you are saying you have power on the big main terminal from the battery, as well as power on the small wire on the starter solenoid and it won't CRANK?

With tractor in neutral, park brake on, wheels chocked, IGN switch OFF, use jump start battery as follows.
Connect positive cable from jumper battery to the main terminal (heavy wire from main battery) on the starter motor terminal. Connect negative cable from jumper battery to a clean unpainted part on the engine or preferably the starter housing itself.
Disconnect small wire from starter solenoid. Connect/flash/jump a small wire from the main jump positive cable to the small solenoid terminal and see if the starter motor engages/spins.
If it doesn't, and your battery is GOOD, you have a bad starter or starter solenoid.

I was able to test the starter motor earlier today and it runs when you jump directly to it.
Sounds as if you're not getting enough volts when ign switch is in start position on the wire that attaches to "S" terminal on starter solenoid. Can you test voltage on this wire utilizing a VOM?
