While operating my FEL on my L4330 last night I felt like it was operating slower than normal. Was wondering about the general amount of time it was supposed to take to fully raise the loader from the ground all the way to the highest position. Thanks for any insight.

I believe that the service manuals for the loader have cycle times and drift or bleed off specs.

Having another hydraulic valve, rear remote perhaps, partially not centered could affect how the FEL operates as oil is being diverted back to the reservoir.

Try it with the 3pt on the ground, if the 3pt is not adjusted correctly it can push flow to the relief.

Thanks for the replies! I have searched for my loader manual online, but can not find it other than having to buy it. I need to just go ahead and buy it so I have it. However, in the meantime, I have found other similar models and the lift times seem to be around 5 seconds. Mine takes about 10 seconds to lift to full height, however, I am doing this at idle. Are the times in the manual recorded at idle or higher rpm? The bucket still has enough power to lift the front of the tractor, and does not drop if left in the up position.

When using hydraulics, RPM's are your friend.

You don't need wide open, but get the RPM's up. Run my little BX at half-3/4 throttle with FEL, job dependent.

Mine takes about 10 seconds to lift to full height, however, I am doing this at idle. Are the times in the manual recorded at idle or higher rpm?

Unless it's noted in the manual most cycle times will be at engine rated pto speed or high idle.

At idle, I am probably around 30-40 seconds for full lift. Bring it up a 1000 rpm and it drops to around 10.

Also, when I swapped out my hydraulic connectors, I went with the Tractor Supply stocked ones. They have much bigger ports on them, and boy did it speed up everything moving. Lift capabilities stayed the same, I imagine, but it feels like it lifts more. I think it is just quicker to the lift.
