Hello,

I bought a B2650 a few years ago and decided to buy the 60 inch belly mower which was not cheap. :D I use my loader so much that its a huge pain everytime i have to mow. It takes about 10-15 minutes to take the loader off and put the mower deck on. Along with that, you get hydraulic fluid drips when taking the loader off (frustrating for a neat freak).

My main question is selling the mower deck. Has anyone had much success selling a mower deck off a tractor? My deck cost around $2200 dollars and the place i got the tractor from will take it on trade for a zero turn but will only give me 1,800 for it. Good deal?

Gosh - my knee-jerk reaction is an $1,800 trade on a $2,200 deck from a couple years ago is a good deal.

I'd say that is a good deal considering you can find them online for $1300 to $1600 if you look.

You wont regret a zero turn, as that is what I mow with and I have a B2650 too.

I agree! The catch is that they only have this mower for sale at the moment.

Model: Z421KWT-60 ($7899.00)

The mower isn't cheap either. Anyone know how well these Kubota zero turns hold their value?
Most commercial grade mowers hold their value as long as they are cared for, serviced regularly and don't have a ton of hours. (Kubota, Ferris, Exmark, etc.)

You can always look for a used mower. Every once and a while you can find one that was a service loaner or demo with a few hours for significantly less money while still getting the warranty, etc.

Do you have a kubota zero turn?

I have an Exmark Lazer Z - E Series 60" with Dump from seat bagger.

I went with the exmark because I am used to that platform and have used exmarks in the past, I like exmarks bagger options better (I bag 3 acres of my property plus leaf clean-up), and I was able to get a good deal on it.

I did look at the Kubota, and I think if I did go that direction I would have go the diesel version, however that is a lot more $$.

15 year kubota commercial zero turns still fetch $6-8k regularly in good condition. I just bought one, and having mowed with everything else, it's by far the fastest and easiest method of mowing for me.

Why do you have to remove the deck to put the loader on or take the loader off to put the deck on? Ive never had to have one or the other.

It's not a drive over deck so I use bucket to lift front tires which makes it easy to move the deck under.

When I'm using my loader it's usually in places that my mower deck would get hung up if left on the tractor.

For the 60" deck which I have also and love it, mows awesome, you just have to turn the front wheels all the way to the left, turn the one to anti scalp roller 90 degrees,to slide the deck in or out. Super easy. I can have my deck on or off in 3 minutes. You dont need to have the loader on to lift the front of the tractor. Hope this helps.

Very good to know. I'll give it a try. So you leave your loader on when you mow?

I normally take it off. Can have the loader off in about a minute. Once in a while if I am going to use the loader right after mowing I will just take off the bucket.
