Hello,
I'm new here and luckally found the forum PRIOR to buying my B7001.
I know it is a Grey market tractor, but was curious as to when it was made.
I did a search, but I could not find a listing of serial numbers to dates manufactured...

The serial is:
B7001-30###

I am excited about it.
Every thing works as it should, but the radiator has a leak at the bottom of the core, going to pull it and take it to a radiator shop for a rebuild / repair quote.

What is everyone doing to add weight to this type of tractor?
I am thinking of welding a dumbell handle to a flat plate and using the current front weight (marked B:confused:) bolts to mount. Then I could just pile weights (iron / steel) on and use a barbell / dumbell clamp to secure. This way all can be removed.

I am also looking at getting a small frontend loader for this unit. Does any one have a list of manufactures and models that will fit?
Thanks.
KC

Here is a quote from an earlier response on this topic.
........................
The first five digits of the stamping on the transmission tunnel are not part of the serial number, eg B7001 or B7100 but rather the model identifier.

The subsequent numbers listed past the hyphen is the serial number, followed by the Kubota pipe and gear trademark stamp.

Ther starting serial number sequences for the first generation B7100 are as follows:

1976 10001
1977 13931
1978 36646
1979 54221
1980 64448
1981 70678
1982 74217
1983 76009
1984 77309
1985 78435
.....................

There are quite a few threads about this unit if you look back a year or two.

yours must have come off the line shortly after mine. couldn't be off by a couple months. I always find production numbers interesting. It helps, in terms of collectible items, what the rarer yrs would be. Also, parts years can be broken down too. I guess I like this kind of stuff because I'm full of other useless information.
