Looks like fire wood to me, down at the buds farm he has them standing bark less and when you smack one with the flat of an ax, they ring, if you understand what I mean, solid no mush no thud just a solid hard ring like a ball bat

Those nasty EAB's got my only ash tree a few years ago. It leafed out in the spring and then suddenly all the leaves died and it soon followed. It was the oldest tree I had left on the property and I've been here for almost 50 years.

With ash trees that might be the case, but in about 3 years they will start falling over when the roots rot off.

True dat,, makes them a lot easyer to cut up too,, except when they take out fences and you have to help round up sheep from the neighbors place
