So, I suspect asking this question on a Kubota site would be like asking Hillary Clinton supporters IF they like Trump, lol...
BUT, Here goes...

I found 2 tractors... (See Photos)
One is a Kioti NX45 HST Enclosed Cab for $28,500 and a Kubota is a L4060 HST Enclosed Cab for $35,000.
The Kioti is $7000 cheaper. I am NOT a professional farmer or contractor and lucky of I put 50 hours a year on it.

YES, I know the Kubota is a better made tractor overall BUT (for me) it's hard to justify the extra $7000....

Opinions?
Thx!

You have a picture of an L4060! The 4010 is a JD number.
Question for you, If your purchasing dealer goes out, how close is the next dealer for either?

Yes, my bad... I just changed it. THANKS!!
We have a couple (both) dealers nearby. Ive owned Kioti and Kubota in the past, neither one of them rarely saw the dealership.
I wouldn't want to put words in your mouth but are you suggesting "Go with what I can service easier"? Im not sure thats worth $7000 to me, lol...
Ty!!

Opening line made my morning!

I have a question for you......IF only 50 hours a year, must you have a cab? I take it up there the cold winter is the #1 reason, and your work is outside in the snow?:)

Are these the only models you are considering? I agree the 7K is a lot to spend on two machine that are similar. I take it, both of these tractors are on dealer lots used?

Based on your input already your going with the kioti :p

Most people assume they will use there tractor for x when they get it y and z happens which ends up bumping up those 50 hours to more like 100 or more

lol...
50 hours may be low.... perhaps closer to 100 but yes, primarily for "plowing".
Both machines are Brand New "in inventory" sitting on the lots.
The Kioti is a smoking deal if you ask me....
The Kubota is just beautiful BUT also $7000 more AND 5hp less. I swear this 5hp increment stuff has to drive people crazy.
Does 5hp even make a difference?

When I make a long term investment $$$ I look at resale and liquidity. How much can you get and how fast will it move. My bet would be that Kubota would have more inquiries if you needed to get rid of it. You are probably not anticipating that scenario but in this life you never know what will happen from one day to the next. When I bought mine the wife was talking about moving to Florida but would not commit so I pulled the trigger and if we move I think my Kubota would sell in a heart beat, or include it in the price of our property, win win and I get to stay warm this winter either way, lol.
Look at resale values of like machines several years back and see if the 7K holds up.

The L4060 is a Grand L, and would be the nicest tractor that Kubota makes in that size range. Heavier, nicer transmission so it is quieter with a cab, autothrottle, better console for monitoring dpf, a long list. I don't know anything about the Kioti, but you may be comparing apples and oranges here. You could ask them to price out an L3901 for comparison. What else comes with the tractor for that price?

No experience with Kioti at all, but you've owned one.

Couple times guys have said Kioti parts can be a problem to get your hands on.

But, as you say, this is a Kubota site!;)

Looked at the pictures, and if the price includes the hydraulic controlled front blade that is a pretty sweet rig for winter....no comparison with the Kioti and a plain bucket. It all comes down to just how much plowing do you have to do?

How long do you plan on keeping it? Long term parts availability gives me the shivers in regards to Kioti, Mahindra, Branson and the like. With the hours you are talking, at some point in the future, you should have a pretty cherry tractor to trade in or sell at a premium........... If the buyer can still get parts for it. Re-sale value on any of the 'off brand' tractors will go a long ways towards covering the difference in the initial pricing. I used to work for Deere, now I work for Case IH. Keeping a keen eye on the competition has always been a high priority. That said, these Kioti types are hardly worth a second glance as a threat to an orange, green, blue or red dealer. More often than not, their customers become our customers after a short period of time due to a lack of satisfaction. Bottom line, it's your money, your decision. Good news is this, the main-line dealers will still be around when you are ready for a better investment.

With that little use what are. you doing with it?
I have a B2320 and I will just put about 50 hours on it a year....the first year.
After that I expect less. Lots of playing in the first year, driveway, clearing a field and mowing. After this year, mostly mowing.

I went through something similar with my decision to buy Kubota against Kubota. 4k difference on a tractor I didn't think I'd "need" in the L series. However an old wise Farmer said this to me, "When I was younger I had the choice between a tractor that suited my needs and a larger tractor that I didn't quite need. I had always wished I had bought the larger tractor. I've never said to myself, 'glad I kept the small one.'"

With that I spent the additional 4000, and I am so happy that I did so. You cannot go wrong with the Kubota. I can assure you even when I was searching for used tractors I didn't bother looking at anything that wasn't orange, blue, red, or green. Ultimately I made the choice to buy a brand new Kubota L series. I plan for that tractor to go to my grandchildren. Because it's a Kubota, I know that it will.

He would lose the kubota cab on an L3901 and would need the after market one. which would be fine but still it won't have the fancy stuff. He could get a price on a B3350 with a cab. I don't know what his snow requirments are either. Seems like a lot of tractor for some snow removal?
